Roles
the role sensitivity settings allow you to control which roles can view and export sensitive information across the system how it works each role can be assigned a sensitivity level for read sensitivity what sensitive data the role can view export sensitivity what sensitive data the role can export available options none no access to sensitive fields sensitive access to standard sensitive fields highly sensitive access to all sensitive fields viewing sensitive fields to see which fields are considered sensitive, click the “here” link in this section this opens a list of all sensitive fields in the system, along with their classification each field is labeled as either sensitive highly sensitive these typically include student information such as address and contact details date of birth identification information (e g sin/ssn) verification and id related fields how restrictions appear if a role does not have access to certain fields the data will appear as restricted or hidden in lists and exports the same restrictions apply across the system editing with restricted access users can still edit records, but they will only see and update the fields they have access to restricted fields will remain hidden and unchanged important notes student / user logins require highly sensitive access sensitivity settings apply across data lists student profiles reports and exports proctor access (instructor role) a new course access permission called proctor controls access to student verification images id photos security logs if this permission is not enabled, instructors will not be able to view this information
