SMS

Before using the SMS tool in ampEducator, make sure SMS is properly configured under Institution Config / General / SMS. Without this setup, you won’t be able to send or receive text messages through the platform.

Once configured, the SMS section displays all text message communication between your school and Students. At the top, you can switch between three views: All, Incoming, or Outgoing. This helps you quickly focus on the messages you want to review.

Each message includes a small arrow to show the direction. A right-facing arrow means it was sent from the school (outgoing), while a left-facing arrow means it was received from the Student (incoming).

For each SMS, you'll see the Student’s name (which links to their profile if available), a preview of the message, the phone number used, the date it was created, and its current delivery status (such as Delivered or Received).

Clicking the View SMS icon on the right opens a detailed view of the message. This includes the full SMS text, sender and recipient details, date and time stamps, delivery status, and any additional tracking information available.
