Backups

the backups section allows you to request a downloadable copy of your institution’s full database from ampeducator backup format your backup file is provided in sql format , specifically in mysql this format is ideal for preserving both your data and the relationships between records exporting the same data to a format like csv would generate over 300 separate files , making it far less practical for comprehensive backups please note that documents (such as uploaded files or attachments) are not stored in the database and therefore not included in the sql backup if you need access to your document repository, contact support\@ampeducator com downloading backup files when you click request backup , a new request will be created and appear in the table below the backup process may take up to 24 hours to complete until the backup is complete, the status will appear as requested you can refresh the page later to check if the download is ready you'll also receive an email notification once your backup is ready to download when the backup is complete, the status will update to completed , and a downloadable sql zip file will appear in the file column to save the file to your computer, simply click the download backup icon next to the file name the file includes your institution’s full database in sql format this feature is helpful for archiving your data or maintaining an offline copy of your institution records
