Reasons
when a course is cancelled or assigned a no grade in ampeducator, a reason must be selected you can define your institution’s cancellation and no grade reasons in advance under institution config / courses / reasons configuring course cancellation reasons course cancellations may occur for a variety of reasons, such as low enrollment or scheduling conflicts in ampeducator, you’re required to select a cancellation reason when cancelling a course setting up predefined cancellation codes helps maintain consistency and provides better reporting on why courses are cancelled to add a new reason, click new cancellation reason to open the setup modal enter a cancellation code (e g , enr, oth) and a cancellation reason (e g , poor enrolment, other) once saved, these will appear in the list and be available when cancelling a course you can also edit or delete existing reasons using the quick action icons to the right configuring course no grade reasons there may be times when a course is completed without a final grade being assigned in these cases, ampeducator allows you to assign a no grade reason these reasons help clarify the outcome and determine whether the course should count for credit or be excluded from gpa calculations these reasons can be managed under institution config / courses / reasons to add a new reason, click the new no grade reason button a modal will appear prompting you to enter the following no grade code (e g , aud, med) no grade reason (e g , audit, medical exemption) earns credits – check this box if the student should still earn course credit when this reason is used click add to save the reason it will now appear in the list and be available when assigning a no grade to a course you can also use the quick action icons to edit or delete any existing reasons
