Form Post Guide
form post is a method used to connect an existing html form on your website to ampeducator unlike the embedded form, which is auto generated, a form post gives you complete control over how your form looks and functions on your site when a visitor submits the form, the data is securely posted to ampeducator, and a new lead is created automatically this option is great for schools that already have custom built forms and want to continue using their design — while still capturing leads in ampeducator step 1 add a new lead provider to get started, go to prospects / lead providers and click the green add lead provider button in the popup window set the provider type to form post enter a provider name that helps you identify this lead source (for example, international form – spring ) a unique id will be automatically generated for you, but you can enter your own if you prefer it can be any combination of letters and numbers with no spaces (optional) add a description to clarify where or how this form is used once everything is filled in, click add to continue step 2 configure the details after adding the lead provider, you’ll be taken directly to the details screen this is where you’ll set how the lead is routed, where the form submits, and how the form behaves the lead provider url the lead provider url is one of the most important parts of setting up a form post lead provider — it’s what connects your website form to ampeducator you’ll find this url at the top of the details screen, right under the heading it’s unique to each lead provider you create this is the url your form must send data to in your html form code, it needs to be used as the action if the form doesn’t post to this exact url, ampeducator won’t receive the submission once the form is live on your website and correctly pointing to this url, ampeducator will begin accepting the data and creating new leads automatically lead assignment and notifications this first section covers how leads are categorized and who will be notified provider type automatically set to form post provider name and description these fields are pre filled based on what you entered earlier, but you can still edit them here default location choose the location where these leads should be assigned default agent (optional) assign a specific agent adm advisor assign choose round robin or another method to assign admissions advisors default country set the default country for this lead source email adm advisor / sms adm advisor choose whether to notify the advisor add adm advisor event automatically create a follow up task event title you can customize the title for the scheduled event email notifications to / sms notifications to choose additional staff who should be alerted post submission settings this section defines where prospects are sent after submitting the form, and includes options to control what data is forwarded success (full url) enter the url where the prospect should be redirected after a successful form submission (e g your thank you page) failure (full url) enter the url they’ll be taken to if there’s a submission error forward data if enabled, form data will be passed to your success or failure pages as query strings captcha enabled enabling this will require google recaptcha to be present on the form to prevent spam sample html code at the bottom of the page, you’ll see a sample html block this is a basic form structure that shows how your form should be built it includes a ready to use \<form> tag with your lead provider url as the action the fields listed inside the form — like title, date of birth, and address — are examples of what you might include you can copy and paste this into your website and then customize it to match your actual form layout and field names when you’re finished configuring the details, click save next steps once your lead provider is set up, continue with configuring actions, field mapping & submissions docid\ rqweigkeyw6tp90z2ru2k these tabs work very similarly across all lead provider types and allow you to automate follow ups, map incoming fields, and review submissions
