Credit Cards
The Credit Cards section allows you to add and manage saved credit cards for future payments. To enable this feature, your institution must have a online payment merchant configured, as ampEducator does not store credit card details—they are securely saved with the merchant.
With saved credit cards, you can quickly process payments without re-entering details and set up recurring payments for automated billing.

To add a new credit card for a Student, go to the Accounts section of their profile and select Credit Cards from the side menu. Then, click Add Credit Card to enter and save the card details.

An Add Credit Card modal will appear where you can enter the cardholder details, card information, and billing address. These fields are required for verification, and the credit card number is securely stored with your merchant provider, not ampEducator.

ampEducator communicates with the merchant immediately to verify the card details. If the credit card is not valid or there is an issue, it will not be stored, and a popup box will appear with the reason for the error. Once verified, click Store Card to save the card for future and recurring payments.
Next to each stored credit card, there are quick action icons for managing the card details:
- Update Credit Card – Edit or update the stored credit card information.
- Delete Credit Card – Remove the stored credit card from the Student’s profile.

These options allow you to keep payment details up to date or remove outdated cards as needed.
