Courses Tab Overview
the courses tab is where you can view and manage all your courses across academic sessions this list gives you quick access to important course details like session, location, status, capacity, enrollment status, and assigned instructor you can sort and filter the list or use the search bar to find specific courses clicking on the course name will take you directly to the course’s profile and edit page, where you can manage all course details, including lms content, grading setup, fees, schedule, and more at the top of the page, the green start new course button allows you to begin setting up a new course—either from a course template or from scratch the more actions button beside it offers additional course creation options, such as starting multiple courses at once using templates for more detailed steps, see the starting new courses docid\ xwg3mruo 5q cxllx0bw5 section course quick actions to the right of each course listed in the courses tab, you’ll see a row of icons that allow you to quickly perform common tasks without needing to open the full course profile edit course details clicking the edit icon opens the full course details from here, you can update the course title, section, location, instructor, academic session, start and end dates, and more view course gradebook clicking the grading setup icon takes you directly to the course’s gradebook tab, where you can view and manage student grades view course attendance clicking the view course attendance icon takes you to the attendance tab of the course, where you can view, enter, and manage student attendance by date and session recalculate course totals clicking the recalculate course totals icon starts a system job that recalculates the totals for the course this is useful if you've made recent changes to grading, attendance, or other student data and want to ensure everything is up to date after clicking the icon, a message will appear confirming that the recalculation has started you can track its progress under user jobs docid\ xeua99s3 boscfcpyx3ol copy course clicking the copy course icon opens a modal where you can duplicate the selected course you’ll be able to change the course code, name, session, dates, location, and other details before creating the new version you can also choose whether to copy specific items like instructors, schedule, fees, prerequisites, grades, documents, and lms content cancel course clicking the cancel course icon opens a modal where you can cancel the course and optionally remove associated student fees you’ll be asked to select a cancellation reason , choose a student fees action (if applicable), and optionally add notes cancelled courses can be restored later, but some items like collaborations or student fees may need to be added again manually course cancellation reasons can be configured in reasons docid\ wztrffv45cult6kbclibq
