Plagiarism Tools
You can integrate plagiarism detection tools into ampEducator to check student assignment submissions. Currently, ampEducator supports integration with Turnitin.

To configure this feature, go to Institution Config / Courses / Plagiarism. Start by enabling the checker using the Checker Enabled toggle. Once enabled, additional fields and instructions will appear.

- Provider – Currently limited to Turnitin. This will be automatically selected.
- Turnitin URL – Enter the URL provided by Turnitin. It typically follows the format: [yourinstitution].turnitin.com
- API Key – Enter the API key provided by your Turnitin representative.
- Index Submissions – Select this option if you want Turnitin to store submissions for comparison in future similarity reports.
- View Settings – Choose which types of content should be excluded from similarity checks, such as quotes, bibliography, or other elements.
Once everything is filled in, click Save. You’ll then be able to enable plagiarism checks when setting up Assignments in Courses.

Submitted documents will be checked automatically, and similarity results will be displayed once processing is complete. You can view the results by opening the assignment.

Keep in mind that the plagiarism check is not instant—it takes a little time to process. Once complete, the similarity percentage will appear, and the detailed report can be downloaded. The interaction is also logged under User Jobs for reference.
