Attendance
ampeducator allows you to automatically monitor and flag students whose attendance is approaching or falls below defined thresholds this helps staff proactively identify students at risk and ensures consistent tracking across courses, programs, and sessions to configure these settings, go to institution config / students / attend these are the available options course threshold type – a dropdown menu where you can select how attendance is tracked for courses options include none, by attendance rate, by max absences, or by either course attendance rate % – the default attendance percentage threshold for courses (e g , 85%) course max absences – the maximum number of absences allowed before attendance is flagged (e g , 5 absences) program threshold – the default attendance threshold for programs (e g , 85%) session threshold – the default attendance threshold for academic sessions (e g , 85%) cumulative threshold – the default attendance threshold across all courses, programs, and sessions combined (e g , 85%) marginal threshold – the percentage range within which a student's attendance is considered marginal (e g , 10%) if a course threshold is set at 85% and the marginal threshold is 10%, a student’s attendance will be flagged as marginal if it falls within 10% of 85% (i e , 85 93 5%) add hold – select yes to automatically apply a hold on a student's account when their attendance status changes to review when yes is selected, an additional dropdown menu will appear where you can choose the type of hold (e g , atdc attendance hold) generate daily report – select yes to enable automatic daily reports for students flagged as marginal or review if enabled, two additional dropdown fields will appear student stati – select which student statuses (active, graduated, inactive, pending) should be included in the report send report to – choose from a list of your staff members who should receive the daily report email student – select yes to send email notifications to students when their attendance status changes
