The Transfer Credits section allows you to record credits that a Student has earned at another institution and that are being recognized by your school. Any transfer credits entered will appear in the list on this page, showing the associated course, number of credits, the original course it replaced, and the institution it came from.

## Adding Transfer Credits

To add a new transfer credit, click the **Add Transfer Credit** button. This will open a form where you can either select an existing course from a template or enter the course details manually.

The form has the following fields:

- **Select Course**: Choose a course from your institution’s catalog or enter it manually.
- **Course Code & Course Name**: These refer to the course at your institution that the credit will apply to.
- **Course Credits**: The number of credits the Student will receive.
- **Prev Course Code & Prev Course Name**: The course code and name from the previous institution.
- **Institution**: The name of the institution where the course was originally completed.
- **Session**: The academic session the transfer credit should be recorded under.
- **Transfer Date**: The date the credit is officially being applied.
- **Notes**: Optional space to enter additional details or context.

Once added, the transfer credit will appear in the Student’s Transfer Credits list and can be edited or removed if needed.
