In **Institution Config / Students / Portal**, you can control what Students see and do within the **Student Portal**. These settings let you tailor the portal experience to your institution’s needs.

Previously, there was a separate option to enable or disable **Show Hours**. This has now been removed — since all institutions that used **Hours** also had **Attendance** enabled, both areas are now linked. Enabling **Show Attendance** will automatically display Hours as well.

## Student Portal Settings

You can choose whether to enable the following options:

- **Can Edit Profile** – Allows Students to update their contact details, such as address, phone number, and email. 
- **Send Edit Notification** – Sends a notification to staff when a Student updates their profile. 
  - When enabled, a **Send Notification To** dropdown appears so you can select which staff member receives the alert. 
- **Show Attendance** – Displays attendance records (including Hours if applicable). 
- **Completed Courses** – Shows a list of the Student’s completed courses. 
- **ID Card** – Adds a tab where Students can view their digital Student ID card. 

Click **Save** to apply your selections.
