## New Feature: Student Holds
**Release Date: **February 24 2025
We’re excited to introduce the **Student Holds** feature in ampEducator, designed to streamline the management of student accounts and provide better control over student access based on various criteria.
### Key Features
- **Add Holds**: Easily place holds on student accounts for **financial, academic, attendance**, or other reasons.
- **Email Notifications**: Notify students automatically when a hold is placed on their account via email.
- **Holds Display**: A **Holds** column is now available in the **Student List** to quickly show which students have holds and what type of hold they have. Holds are also displayed in the **Gradebook**, **Attendance**, and **Student Portal**, ensuring visibility for both instructors and students.
- **Automatic Holds**: Automatically apply holds for students based on **balance**, **payment plan status**, **academic performance**, or **attendance** by configuring settings in **Institution Config**.
- **Manage Holds**: Holds can be placed, cleared, and tracked with ease, ensuring that students and staff are aware of any restrictions on the student’s account.
### Configuration
- **Configure Hold Types**: Set up and customize hold types under **Institution Config** / **Students** / **Holds**.
- **Enable Automatic Holds**: Under **Institution Config** / **Accounts** / **Status**, **Students**, and **Attendance**, you can configure automatic holds based on overdue balances, poor academic performance, and attendance.
This new feature enhances the ability to manage student accounts and improve communication between students and staff.

## New Features: Convera Integration, Collaboration Attendance Events, and Course Publishing

We’ve rolled out a few exciting updates that will streamline your processes, enhance student engagement, and simplify payment management.
### Convera Integration
Now, you can process international tuition payments through **Convera**, a secure platform supporting over 140 currencies and 200+ countries. This makes global payments easier and more seamless for your institution.

### Collaboration Attendance Events
You can now mark attendance events as **Collaborations**, making it easier for instructors to track collaboration-based events within the course. This helps with better engagement and clearer attendance tracking.
### Course Publishing
With the **Course Publishing** feature, you can now choose to publish courses either manually or by date in the Course Details section. This update also introduces a “Published” column in the course list for better visibility, making it simpler to track course availability.

## New Features: Test Tags, Import Tests, and Class Lists

We’re excited to introduce three new features in ampEducator:
### Test Tags
- **Tagging Tests**: Admins can now define global test tags, complete with color, title, and description. Tags can be assigned in the **Edit Test **page, and you can assign **multiple tags** to a single test.
- **Filtered Test Selection**: When creating or editing a course, instructors can filter tests by tag for a more streamlined selection process.
- **Global Accessibility**: Tags are globally managed by the admin but can be used across courses, allowing users to better organize and locate specific tests.
### Import Tests
- **Supports All Question Types**: Import Tests now supports all question types, offering greater flexibility when bringing tests into ampEducator.
### Class Lists
- **Student Portal Access**: When enabled, students can view the class list under the **Resources** tab within the **Student Portal**.
- **Customizable Access**: Instructors can choose to share the student’s photo, email, and phone number based on course needs.
- **Easy Navigation**: Students can easily navigate and view the class list, improving accessibility to course information.
These updates enhance the organization, accessibility, and flexibility of your course materials and student information.
