New Features in Assignments for ampEducator

December 30, 2024

We’ve made several improvements to Assignments to enhance both the instructor and student experience. Here’s an overview of the latest updates:

Instructor Features

  • 4 Submission Types: Instructors can now choose from No Submission, Upload Files, Inline Text, and Inline Video.
  • Multiple Attachments: Instructors can now upload multiple attachments per assignment (previously, only one was allowed).
  • File Upload Enhancements: Instructors can now upload files on behalf of the student. Plus, the file submission element has been upgraded to allow drag and drop functionality, with progress indicators during uploads.
  • Max File Uploads: For Upload assignments, instructors can set a maximum number of file uploads.
  • Inline Text: Set a minimum and maximum word count for Inline Text submissions.
  • Inline Video: Set a minimum and maximum video length, up to 15 minutes.
  • Instructor Notifications: Choose which instructors need to be notified for each assignment submission, instead of notifying all instructors automatically.

Student Features

  • Preview Attachments: Students can now preview assignment attachments without needing to download them.
  • Flexible File Uploads: For Upload File assignments, students can upload, preview, delete, and upload more files before submitting—offering more flexibility than before, when uploading automatically submitted the assignment.
  • Inline Text Submissions: Students can write or paste text directly into the editor, with auto-saving every 30 seconds and a word counter. They can save manually at any time, then submit when ready.
  • Inline Video Submissions: Students can record videos using their camera and microphone. After recording, a progress bar shows the upload status, and they can preview the video before submitting or re-recording if needed.

Additional Instructor Tools:

  • Submission Key: After submitting an assignment, students will receive a unique submission key, which serves as proof of submission. This can be used by instructors to verify the submission if needed.
  • Marked Flag: Instructors can mark assignments to lock them once completed, preventing any further changes, regardless of submission status.
  • Request Resubmit: If the assignment requires resubmission, instructors can choose 'Request Resubmit'. While in this state, the assignment cannot be marked as complete.
  • Provide Feedback: Instructors can provide feedback directly within the platform, letting students know about their submissions or requesting changes.

These updates make managing assignments more flexible and efficient for instructors, while providing students with an easier, more interactive way to submit their work.

Exciting New Updates for Prospects and Lead Stages in ampEducator

December 2, 2024

We’ve introduced significant updates to improve how you manage Prospects and Lead Stages. These changes enhance your control, clarity, and workflow efficiency.

Key Features:

  • UI Update: We’ve reorganized the Prospects page! Summaries are now moved to the side and made collapsible, giving you more space to view important information. This update applies across All Prospects, Leads, Admissions, Enrolled, and Lost & Rejected.
  • Lead Stage Setup: The Lead Stage process now features a decision tree structure, offering greater control over a prospect's progression. Organize by streams, programs, or customizable categories and guide prospects through each stage with decision points.
  • Lead Stage Workflow: With the new workflow, Admissions Advisors must follow the set path for each prospect. The “Path” feature allows you to track a prospect’s journey, and the “Next Stage” option ensures they proceed through stages in the correct order, improving organization and accuracy.

These updates bring increased structure and efficiency, making it easier to manage prospects and track their progress.
