Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your ampEducator account. When enabled, users will be required to provide an additional form of authentication, along with their username and password, each time they log in.

To use 2FA, you’ll need to **download the free Google Authenticator app** for your smartphone (available for both [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2\&hl=en\&pli=1) and [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-authenticator/id388497605)). This app will generate the verification codes required during the login process.

Start by checking the box beside **Enabled**. This will display a unique QR code and secret key that you can scan or enter in your app.

Once the code is linked, enter the validation code from the app and click **Update**. After setup, you’ll be prompted to enter a new validation code every time you log in.

To **disable 2 Factor Authentication**, simply uncheck the box next to **Enabled**.
